Amy is a sports mom, blogger, photographer and youth sports thought leader. She founded SportsMomMantra to empower sports moms and start conversations about navigating today’s youth sports culture, all in an effort to raise confident girls through teachable moments and life lessons. Her goal is to help other sports moms to raise their girls to develop healthy bodies, strong minds and fun loving spirits.
Born and raised in Northeastern, WI she spent her childhood cheering on the Green Bay Packers (yeah, that’s before Brett Favre & Aaron Rodgers) where she learned even when you are losing you keep on cheering and you don’t give up. She met her sports loving husband in college and they made their home in Madison, WI where they are raising their high school age daughter, a two sport student athlete. She’s been a soccer mom, skate mom, karate mom, and is now a softball and basketball mom. Amy felt most comfortable sitting on the sidelines, seeing the game through the lens of her camera, getting shots of her daughter and her teammates having fun and doing the sports they love. She stepped out from behind the lens to join the board of directors of her local youth softball association because she saw an opportunity to make an impact by sharing her experiences.
